Some mornings ask for fire, others for silence.
And sometimes, you want both.
That’s when I make this tea — my little ritual of clarity with calm.
It begins with Earl Grey, the black tea kissed with bergamot, bringing brightness and focus.
Then a touch of fresh ginger, for warmth.
A few crushed cardamom pods, for sweetness and breath.
A pinch of mulberry leaf powder, to balance the sugar and soften the edge.
And finally, soya milk, to ground it all — turning the sharp into silk.
The result is a drink that awakens without agitation,
that energizes without pulling.
It feels like sunrise finding its way through mist —
clear, but never harsh.
🌿 How to Make It
Ingredients (for one cup):
- 1 teaspoon Earl Grey tea (or 1 tea bag)
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup soya milk (unsweetened)
- 1 small slice of fresh ginger (or a pinch of dried powder)
- 1 crushed cardamom pod
- A pinch of mulberry leaf powder
- Sweetener of your choice (optional)
Instructions:
- Boil water with the ginger and cardamom for 2–3 minutes.
- Add Earl Grey and let it steep for 3–4 minutes.
- Strain, then stir in the mulberry powder and soya milk.
- Sweeten lightly, if desired.
- Sit down. Breathe. Sip slowly — as though you were drinking stillness itself.
🌸 A Note
The mulberry doesn’t just balance sugar — it teaches moderation.
The cardamom opens your breath.
The ginger lights your spine.
And the milk, the tea, the warmth — they remind you that peace can be flavorful too.
